This took a lot of googling to find. If your credentials aren't working, possibly it is because you haven't logged into your account with a password.
- Open Settings and navigate to Sign-In Options
- Disable Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft Accounts (this is what seems to cause the problem)
- Sign out and sign back in again.
