This took a lot of googling to find. If your credentials aren't working, possibly it is because you haven't logged into your account with a password.
1. Open **Settings** and navigate to **Sign-In Options**
2. Disable **Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft Accounts** (this is what seems to cause the problem)
3. Sign out and sign back in again.
