I love Thinkpads as hardware. Much better than cheap consumer laptops, and just to show the comparison between Thinkpads and Macs when it comes to maintainability/fixability, I took two Youtube videos: changing a mac A1278 (2011-era) keyboard and changing a Lenovo T420 keyboard, and made this one that puts them side by side, with music, and a timer — basically a factor of 10 in the time it takes, and it gets far worse on the Mac side for less experienced technicians.
