I love [Thinkpads](/pc/lenovo/thinkpad) as hardware. Much better than cheap consumer laptops, and just to show the comparison between Thinkpads and Macs when it comes to maintainability/fixability, I took two Youtube videos: [changing a mac A1278 (2011-era) keyboard](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz7qt53GsFs&t=0s) and [changing a Lenovo T420 keyboard](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgyebH7AH3c&t=0s), and made [this one that puts them side by side, with music, and a timer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfZvYQ35iRg) — basically a factor of 10 in the time it takes, and it gets far worse on the Mac side for less experienced technicians.
