Use Tools→Last Tweaked to create automation envelopes.
Right click to create a point.
There are two modes in automation focus: step and slide. To quickly delete points, put into step mode, and then right-drag over points to delete.
Identifying An Automation Clip
Double click the title of the clip in the arrangement, or the clip name in the left sidebar of the arrangement. Then there is a button to locate the parameter.
