I've not tested this, but apparently [according to this](https://github.com/Foundry376/Mailspring/issues/681)
```bash
sudo apt install gnome-keyring
```
is the solution. (I'm running Kubuntu as I write this, so don't have [Gnome](/os/gnome) installed.
