## Loops and Sections
Lurking in the right click menu.

To create a loop from an area of an existing item:
1. Adjust time selection to contain desired area.
2. **Copy loop of selected area of items** (Ctrl+Alt+L)
3. Paste.

To just copy a section
1. Adjust time selection to contain desired area.
2. **Copy selected area if items**
3. Paste.

Or also you can
1. Put cursor at the start of the desired area.
2. Ctrl+Drag in an empty part of a track to create a new item from the old

And to convert an item into a loop
1. Select item
2. Action: **Time selection: Set time selection to items** (I assign this to the Q keystroke as I use it often)
3. **Copy loop of selected area of items**
4. Set playhead to start of item (the *Set time selection to items* action will do this for you)
5. Delete and paste.

With the Q keystroke defined as above, this reduces to
* click-on-item, Q, Ctrl+Alt+L, Delete, Ctrl+V
